UMass Medicine Cancer Walk 2014 Goal Almost Reached
This past Sunday, Absolute Robot participated in the 16th annual UMass Medicine Cancer Walk. 2014 is the 8th year Team Absolute has participated in the UMass Medicine Cancer Walk, and our goal is to raise $10,000 for cancer research. Participating in this walk allows us the opportunity to raise funds to improve cancer care and treatments. This is the largest fundraising event in Central Massachusetts and we are thrilled to be a part of it.
Absolute Robot was joined by our other Absolute companies: Absolute Haitian, Absolute Machinery and Absolute Green Energy to form Team Absolute. Fifty team members strong, our employees and their families were honored to participate in this year’s UMass Medicine Cancer Walk. We could not have asked for a more beautiful day to take part in the walk.
As of today, we are very nearly at our fundraising goal of $10,000. Donations are open through the next couple of months, and we know we will meet if not surpass our goals this year. Every one of us can think of a way cancer has touched our lives, so every and every one of us has a reason to donate towards improved cancer treatments and care. Team Absolute was proud to walk this year in the memory of our late friend and colleague, Don Detenber.
Thank you to everyone who donated and participated in this year’s UMass Medicine Cancer Walk. Let’s keep pushing and make this our biggest fundraising year yet. Last year we were the number two fundraising team so let’s see if we can be number one this year! We appreciate all of our individual and corporate donors who support us and this great cause.
